Job Summary

Take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for Singapore and Malaysia clients, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery while providing expert advisory and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

Take full ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for Singapore and Malaysia clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery with minimal supervision
Process all payroll data accurately and on schedule according to established timelines and statutory requirements
Adhere strictly to payroll-related compliance, controls, statutory regulations, and audit requirements
Identify, handle, and resolve payroll issues, discrepancies, and queries promptly and professionally to maintain client satisfaction
Prepare and submit statutory filings such as CPF, IRAS submissions (IR8A/IR21), SDL, SHG funds, SOCSO, EPF, EIS, HRDF, PCB, and other mandatory contributions accurately and on time
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and key business partners/clients to facilitate smooth payroll operations
Be accountable for payroll accuracy, timelines, and proactive issue resolution by identifying risks and recommending effective solutions
Act as backup to other team members to manage client expectations and ensure continuous service delivery
Participate in regular client calls and meetings to review payroll performance and address outstanding items
Provide expert payroll advisory services for Singapore and Malaysia clients to support compliance and operational improvements
Maintain and update payroll procedures and documentation to reflect current practices and regulatory changes
Support the Head of Department and Project Team with new client onboarding, transitions, and implementations, including data collection, reviews, testing, and go-live activities
Collaborate with team members to establish and maintain a confidential and sensitive work environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Familiarity with payroll outsourcing environments and client servicing operations
Hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing is strongly preferred
In-depth understanding of payroll components and calculations
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams
Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll issues efficiently
Client-focused and customer-sensitive service behavior to enhance client satisfaction
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a proactive and responsible work attitude
Ability to pay close attention to detail and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
