Software Engineer (Java, ReactJS)

• Remuneration: Up to $9,000 + AWS

About the Role

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to support, maintain, and modernise enterprise web applications and systems. The role involves working with both legacy and modern technologies to enhance system stability, performance, security, and scalability while supporting ongoing business and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance enterprise web applications and systems.
• Support production incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement bug fixes, change requests, and performance improvements.
• Conduct impact assessments for system changes and deployments.
• Support system monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery activities.
• Implement security fixes identified through testing and security reviews.
• Contribute to system modernisation and migration initiatives.
• Document systems, processes, and technical knowledge.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in developing, maintaining, or supporting enterprise applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or SVN.

Technical Skills

Experience or familiarity with some of the following:

• Java, Spring Framework, Oracle WebLogic
• Oracle or Sybase databases
• JSP, JSTL, jQuery, Apache Struts, JSF
• Linux/Unix environments
• API development and microservices
• React, Spring Boot, containerisation, and cloud technologies
• Authentication technologies such as LDAP, Active Directory, or OIDC
• Secure development and vulnerability remediation practices

Added Advantage

• Experience with system modernisation or migration projects
• Exposure to Azure DevOps or event-driven solutions
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
