Java Developer

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Java Software Engineer to join our technology team supporting enterprise banking and Wealth Management systems. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.

You will be responsible for developing scalable and robust applications, resolving complex technical issues, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement Java-based applications
• Develop backend services using Java 8+, Spring Boot, and REST/SOAP web services
• Analyse business and system requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
• Perform SQL query optimization and database-related development
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and performance best practices
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Support continuous integration and test-driven development practices
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience in Core Java 8+
• Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• JUnit and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• REST API and SOAP Web Services
• Maven
• SQL and Relational Databases (Oracle/MySQL)
• IBM MQ / JMS Messaging Concepts
• Linux Shell Scripting
• Git and SonarQube/SonarLint
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Good-to-Have Skills

• Kafka
• ReactJS
• JBoss or Application Server knowledge
• JPA / EJB / JSF
• Banking or Financial Services domain experience
• Exposure to Wealth Management systems
