Maintenance and Operation Manager
Job Description
Location: Suntec, Singapore
Position Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Job Summary
The Maintenance & Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the seamless physical and technical operation of the restaurant. This role bridges the gap between facility management and daily operational efficiency, ensuring that the kitchen, dining hall, and specialized entertainment systems (KTV) are always in top working condition.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Equipment Oversight: Schedule and oversee regular servicing for kitchen equipment (ovens, chillers, grease traps) and HVAC systems to ensure compliance with Singapore’s SFA and NEA standards.
Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external contractors, including pest control, specialized kitchen technicians, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) services.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure the premises meet all Fire Safety Manager (FSM) requirements and that Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) protocols are strictly followed.
Technical Infrastructure: Maintain the functional integrity of the restaurant’s POS systems, KTV equipment, and backend IT connectivity.
Budget Control: Track maintenance expenses and manage the inventory of essential spare parts and consumables to minimize operational downtime.
Ad Hoc Tasks
In a fast-paced Chinese restaurant and live venue environment, you will be required to handle various "on-the-fly" responsibilities:
Urgent Repairs: Perform immediate "first-aid" repairs on furniture, lighting fixtures, or minor plumbing leaks during peak dining hours to prevent service disruptions.
Event Logistics: Lead the setup and teardown of specialized equipment for large-scale events, banquet weddings, or live band performances.
Work Pass & Admin Support: Assist the HR department with technical site inspections or documentation related to workplace safety and manpower audits.
After-Hours Coordination: Act as the emergency contact for security alarms or facility-related issues occurring outside of standard operating hours.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in facility management or operations within the F&B or hospitality industry.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of electrical systems, plumbing, and general kitchen machinery.
Language: Professional proficiency in Mandarin. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is highly beneficial to coordinate with kitchen staff and specialized equipment vendors.
Attitude: A "hands-on" troubleshooter who remains calm under pressure during a busy dinner service.
