Data Analyst (Dealing / Trading Analytics)

We are hiring a Data Analyst to partner closely with our Dealing team to improve trading and operational decision-making through data. This person will build and maintain analytics and reporting capabilities, translate business needs into well-scoped data solutions, and deliver actionable insights to support product evaluation and day-to-day operations. Strong SQL and Python skills are required, along with proven experience in trading/fintech/financial markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner day-to-day with the Dealing team to support trading and operational workflows with data and insights.
  • Build and enhance analytics and reporting capabilities to support product evaluation, trading performance, and operational monitoring.
  • Gather business requirements and apply market/trading context to scope data requests, define metrics, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Analyze large, disconnected datasets to synthesize insights and highlight risks/opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to enable market-facing solutions powered by data.
  • Communicate findings clearly (written and verbal) and deliver solutions reliably and on time.
  • Ensure data quality by validating inputs, monitoring key metrics, and improving definitions/documentation where needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong SQL and database experience (querying, joining, modeling/structuring data for analysis).
  • Advanced working knowledge and experience with Python
  • Basic statistical knowledge and ability to apply it appropriately in analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, messy, and/or disconnected datasets.
  • Strong understanding of trading/dealing concepts and market microstructure (execution, pricing, liquidity, slippage, exposure, hedging basics).
  • Familiarity with anti-fraud / trading abuse patterns and investigation workflows.
  • Experience working with API connections (REST/WebSocket)
  • Experience with machine learning / deep learning / data science methods (nice to have)
