IoT Engineer

About the Role

Our client is a technology company delivering IoT and AI solutions for commercial and industrial environments. They are looking for an IoT Solutions Engineer to support end to end deployment, integration, and management of IoT projects, combining hands on technical work with project coordination.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct site surveys, configure and manage Linux based edge devices, and troubleshoot network connectivity between edge devices and servers (including on site diagnostics when remote access is unavailable).
• Configure and deploy cloud IoT platforms, perform data mapping and onboarding from building management systems, and monitor data stability across industrial protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA).
• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using JavaScript, conduct data quality validation, and support application teams in dashboard configuration and deployment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including solution designs, configuration guides, network diagrams, and project reports.
• Prepare and manage project documentation (statements of work, risk assessments, meeting notes, schedules, and project plans), coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, and track progress to ensure timely delivery of milestones.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with Linux systems, edge device configuration, IoT architecture, and edge to cloud connectivity, with solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs).
• Hands on experience with industrial communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA), cloud IoT platforms, and data mapping / validation / quality monitoring workflows.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for data processing and pipeline development, with the ability to read and create network diagrams and system architecture designs.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with experience preparing statements of work and technical documentation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem solving skills, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in cross functional teams.
