Join Vultr
Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Product Manager to own the product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market execution for Vultr's networking portfolio, from VPCs and EVPN fabrics to transit, DDoS mitigation, peering, and GPU cluster networking. As the first TPM on the Networking team, you'll partner closely with engineering leadership to translate deep technical capabilities into coherent shippable products.
The ideal candidate is a technically grounded product thinker who can hold their own in an EVPN architecture discussion, write requirements engineers respect, and drive clarity across a broad portfolio without defaulting to process overhead. This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company which will require balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution. You’ll be defining what we build and why, coordinating across engineering teams, and building the PM playbook from scratch in a domain where the stakes are real and the infrastructure is global. This is your opportunity to join our fast growing team and leave your mark on Vultr and the future of Cloud Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Own and drive the networking product roadmap across the full portfolio: VPC, routing, NAT/IGW, firewall/security groups, private connectivity, transit, DDoS, peering, and GPU/cluster networking.
Translate technical architecture decisions and infrastructure capabilities into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering can execute against.
Partner with the Cloud Networking engineering manager to align product priorities with engineering capacity, technical debt, and long-term architecture goals.
Define and document product requirements for new networking constructs: VPC features, routing modes, gateway capabilities, cross-region connectivity, RDMA/RoCE fabric services. Ensuring clarity on what we're building, for whom, and why.
Drive go-to-market readiness: coordinate with marketing, docs, support, and sales enablement to ensure new networking features land with customers effectively.
Articulate product strategy and roadmap to stakeholders across engineering, product, and leadership. We need someone to be the person who can explain what we're building and why without a 40-slide deck.
Build and maintain a structured view of the competitive landscape for cloud networking; know where we lead, where we lag, and where the market is going.
Establish lightweight but effective planning rituals. PRDs, feature specs, release coordination, without creating bureaucracy for its own sake.
Triage and prioritize inbound requests from across the org, balancing customer impact, strategic value, and engineering feasibility.
Qualifications
Experience as a product manager or technical product manager shipping infrastructure or networking products: cloud platforms, SDN, network appliances, or similar.
Solid understanding of data center and cloud networking concepts: EVPN-VXLAN, VRFs, routing, NAT, load balancing, firewalling. You don't need to configure a switch, but you should be able to read a config and follow the conversation.
Proven ability to write clear, structured product requirements that engineers actually want to work from.
Experience working closely with deeply technical engineering teams. e.g. knowing when to dig in and when to trust the experts.
Strong communication skills: able to translate between engineering depth and business outcomes without losing fidelity in either direction.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity: this is a greenfield PM function, and you'll be building the playbook as much as following it.
Bias toward action and shipping over process and ceremony.
Compensation
$135,000 - $175,000
Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
