Service Engineer

Job description & Requirements

·    Servicing, installation, commissioning andtroubleshooting of marine communication and navigation equipment.

·      Providing technical support on email / phoneenquiries to service coordinators

·      Mainly job duties at Shipyard, anchorage andoverseas for installation, commissioning, service, trouble shooting, repair andwarranty.

·      Ensure conformance to ensure test results areconsistent.

·      Completion of Installation and commissioningwork with proper reports

·      Management of Service report or record onservice, maintenance, warranty and repair works are given.

·      Liaison with Service Coordinator and relevantsuppliers, provide technical solution for defect reports relating to equipment,and follow up to customer’s requirement.

·      Work experience with Radar, EchoSounder,Autopilot, Speedlog, Radio Equipment, MF/HF, VHF, FleetBroadband, VSAT and etcis an advantage

·      Able to travel overseas especially on shortnotice.

·      Able to work independently with minimalsupervision.

·      Good attitude and behavior being ambassadorfor the company

Job Requirements

·      Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma inElectronics/Communications/ RF Technology/ Marine or relevant workingexperience in installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of marinenavigation equipments.

·      Above 2 – 5 years experience in marine &offshore industries.

·      Passed Shipyard safety Instruction Course

·      Strong technicalknowledge in the relevant domain (mechanical, electrical, IT, networking,etc.).

·      Excellenttroubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

·      Goodcommunication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.

·      Ability to workindependently, often in the field without direct supervision.

·      Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours when required.
