Job Description

Imagine being part of a team where your ideas have the potential to transform some of the world's largest Enterprise and Telecommunications companies. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced Enterprise Solutions Architects to partner with industry-leading customers on their cloud transformation journeys.

In this highly technical, customer-facing role, you will engage directly with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios and technology requirements, and design reliable, cost-effective, and scalable cloud architectures on AWS. The problem domains are diverse and compelling: cloud-native network function virtualization, digital customer journeys, OSS/BSS transformation, mobile edge computing, hyperscale data analytics, cybersecurity, supply chain logistics, fiber broadband platforms, advertising technology, financial services innovation, government/enterprise solutions, and ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI.

What You'll Do
You will leverage the full breadth of AWS services—including Artificial Intelligence, edge computing, IoT, and rich data analytics—to craft solutions that address real business challenges. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud solutions and provide strategic guidance on migrating and modernizing existing workloads to the cloud. You will build deep relationships with senior technical leaders to enable them as cloud advocates within their companies.

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with customers to understand technical and business requirements, assess application portfolios, and guide AWS adoption strategies across telecommunications, enterprise connectivity, fiber broadband, ad tech, financial services, and government sectors.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with senior technical leaders and executives, enabling them as cloud advocates and supporting their digital transformation journeys.
- Drive revenue growth by formulating and executing sales strategies with AWS Sales teams, mobilizing internal resources and the partner ecosystem to deliver successful builds and migrations.
- Design scalable, resilient cloud architectures leveraging AWS services—including Generative and agentic AI/ML, edge computing, IoT, and data analytics—to solve complex challenges such modernization, network function virtualization, OSS/BSS transformation, and cybersecurity.
- Enable customers through hands-on development sessions, architectural deep dives, workshops, and acceleration programs—building prototypes and proof-of-concepts focused on resiliency, security, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate across AWS teams to shape new solutions, reference architectures, and repeatable mechanisms for telecommunications and enterprise use cases.
- Act as liaison between customers and AWS service engineering teams, influencing the cloud services roadmap based on field observations.
- Represent AWS through thought leadership, public speaking, and industry engagement within telecommunications and service provider communities.
- Capture and share best practices through whitepapers, code samples, reference architectures, and blog posts.

A day in the life
As an AWS Solutions Architect, you will partner with customers, Sales teams, and internal groups to design scalable, resilient cloud architectures that solve business challenges and accelerate AWS adoption across telecommunications and enterprise organizations. Your day blends customer engagements, solution design, and continuous learning—acting as a trusted advisor who helps organizations understand cloud best practices while shaping strategies to broaden AWS adoption across their teams.

A key part of the role is working side-by-side with customer teams in hands-on sessions, building prototypes and proof-of-concepts that demonstrate the art of the possible. You will think strategically about business outcomes, products, and technical complexities, working backwards from defined customer goals to deliver measurable value.

Your creativity extends into developing new architectural patterns, reference implementations, and technical content—whitepapers, code samples, solution guides, and blog posts—shared broadly across AWS and the community. You will evangelize AWS and telecommunications-specific solutions through workshops, enablement sessions, user groups, public speaking, and industry conferences.

The Solutions Architecture team provides an open environment with self-paced learning, instructor-led training, hands-on projects, job shadowing, and mentorship to deepen your AWS expertise and understanding of telecommunications industry challenges. You will bring insatiable curiosity to understand how technology works and achieve outcomes that delight customers.
