The Amazon Studios Local Originals seeks a Scripted Creative Executive. You will have experience in both development and production, and the ability to identify material and talent and guide top-level writers and directors in the creation of outlines, scripts, cuts, and other material. Using your comprehensive knowledge of top tier film and premium television talent, you will build on your previous industry relationships and develop new ones. You will be joining a self-motivated, passionate and collaborative team environment. This position will be based in São Paulo.
Key job responsibilities
• Seek out and recommend format proposals, scripts, and pitches.
• Work with writers to develop stories and scripts for Amazon Studios’ Brazil Originals slate.
• Have a strong working knowledge of, and experience with, production companies and creatives in the market.
• Provide support through all creative and logistical aspects of development, production, post-production, and launch.
• Support interactions between the Brazil Originals department and other Amazon Studios departments in Brazil as needed for shows.
• Participate in internal status report, business, and Greenlight meetings pertaining to Scripted Originals.
• Maintain a keen understanding of trends, social issues, and current events of interest to Brazilian audiences and constantly iterate on ways to address these through Originals programming.
