Amazon Selling Partner Services (SPS) Business Development manages the full lifecycle of API products, from concept through scaled market adoption. The team connects product strategy to market delivery, helping solution providers and sellers succeed globally.
Internally, the team partners with engineering and product teams to shape API roadmaps and prioritize high-impact opportunities. Externally, it owns solution provider communications, marketing, and enablement programs that drive adoption of Amazon’s selling partner tools and services.
The Sr. Program Manager operates as the connective tissue between strategy and execution. The role owns launch readiness, portfolio-level risk assessment, and the operational frameworks that give senior leadership the data and clarity to make high-impact partnership decisions.
Key job responsibilities
GTM Readiness and Launch Operations
● Own operational readiness for API launches (beta through GA), aligning cross-functional inputs before go-live
● Drive the Quarterly GTM Planning Review and maintain a centralized launch calendar
● Track launch gates, migration progress, and adoption targets across the BD portfolio
Mechanisms and Rhythm of Business
● Own QBR preparation, facilitation, and follow-through with domain teams
● Maintain the engagement intake process and prioritization framework
● Build partnership health scorecards and KPI dashboards with BIE
Portfolio Maintenance
● Manage the BD engagement portfolio, tracking status and surfacing blockers
● Own reporting on key KPIs: solution provider adoption, GMS impact, and milestone completion
● Maintain documentation of commitments, cadences, and cross-functional dependencies
Domain Team Offboarding
● Own the offboarding process for domain teams no longer actively engaged with BD
● Define offboarding criteria (e.g., API maturity, adoption targets met) and execute transitions
● Maintain the "Monitor/Nurture" tier, tracking offboarded relationships for potential re-engagement

On any given day, you might be assessing portfolio-level risks across active BD engagements, aligning leadership on launch priorities for the quarter, or designing the intake criteria that determine which partnership opportunities warrant investment. You'll operate as the connective tissue between strategy and execution, ensuring senior leaders have the data and operational clarity to make high-impact decisions while driving accountability across cross-functional teams.
