FTC 3P Carriers Capacity Manager, 3P Transportation Operations

As Capacity Transportation Manager, you will play a key role in driving the performance, innovation and reliability of our Transportation teams, working cross-functionally with teams across the entire Amazon business. Our transportation network is complex, but with your drive and dedication we will achieve continuous improvement through our Carrier partners, Network design teams, improved demand planning & capacity management, volume allocation between air & ground, first mile scheduling, middle mile on time performance, and last mile injection.
You will be accountable for dealing with challenging operational issues, and planning for both our off-peak and peak periods externally (with 3P partners) and internally (with other transportation teams), reviewing volume trend performance versus our weekly plans, on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. You will have to showcase strong dealing with ambiguity (Right a lot), Earn trust from partner teams, invent and simplify to succeed, making sure that our 3P transportation organization is set for success during our most important time of year. This is a role that requires engaging senior leaders in other companies as well as strong data management skills to identify outliers, risks and trends. The ideal candidate will have the tenacity and organized thinking of a prize-winning project manager, with strong business analysis skills, quantitative acumen, great communication (written and verbal), prioritize well, work well under pressure and against deadlines, and have a consistent track record of success. You will be responsible for creating capacity plans for your region and presenting your ideas in written form for reviews with senior leadership.
Position can be based preferably in Milan, Madrid, Luxembourg. Also feasible in London, Munich, Paris, or Amsterdam

• Own the transport short and mid-term capacity plan in their region as well as building strong relationship with the carriers to support the country strategy and deliver goals.
• Identify key risks and mitigation actions for High volume events in their relevant region
• Build/Improve processes and mechanisms to drive continuous improvement in the way we do the short and mid-term volume plan and define our last mile strategy
• Drive root-cause analysis and the successful implementation of corrective actions in order to course correct volume trajectory deviations
• Drive innovation by taking ownership of new projects and delivering them with success across multiple functions.
