Executive in Residence, Executive in Residence Team
Tokyo, JPN
full-timeMarketing & PRJob Description
Are you an enterprise executive that has led the transformation of your business using the AWS cloud? Can you help executives and leaders understand the value of ground-breaking technology and how to use them to improve agility? Have you used the power of data and AI/ML to achieve business outcomes? If so, the Exectuive in Residence team allows you to combine your experience, along with insights from Amazon and senior peers to help our customers excel.
Key job responsibilities
Ideal candidates will be able to speak to all aspects of business transformation in large organisations including leadership, change management, technology, operations, security, business case development, and budgeting. They will be able to help enterprises understand and navigate to a future state of these processes to capitalize on the unique power of the cloud. Enterprise strategists are expected to author content such as blog posts, create executive presentations and other customer-facing content, deliver that content to customers both individually and at events with audiences ranging from dozens to thousands of people, and to ensure our customers and partners are successful building and transforming their business on AWS. Finally, enterprise strategists work with our internal teams to refine our services, and commercial strategy for enterprises.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about:
Shaping a vision and strategy to help organisations achieve their goals.
Driving change within large organisations.
Positioning how technology can solve business problems.
Working with a diverse set of executive stakeholders.
Authoring and delivering content that helps shape the way the industry looks at cloud computing.
and can demonstrate the ability to:
Lead major transformation using the AWS cloud inside large organisations.
Manage executive-level relationships both internally and externally.
Articulate how to implement large-scale change.
Deliver enterprise-wide technology transformations.
Design, build, and operate global teams.
Innovate using cloud, data, and AI/ML.
Empathize with, and influence change in, large, complex organizations that move the status quo.
Establish themselves as a thought leader
Identify, experiment with, and scale mechanisms to improve and increase executive engagement.
A day in the life
The Executive in Residence team is ideal for someone who understands the power of repeatable processes, but relishes variety. There is no "normal" day for a strategist. One day we might be presenting to a 1000 people at an industry event, the next deep diving into organizational challenges with the C-Suite of a large company, the next developing mental models and keynote presentations designed to help executives think differently at scale, and finishing the week helping an AWS team think through how their service could be adopted by an enterprise.
About the team
enterprise efforts and advise the largest companies’ executives on how they can transform the way they use technology to deliver business value. Our EIRs combine their personal experiences building on AWS with learnings from other customers, to help enterprises understand and realize the business value they can unlock using the AWS platform. This role shares authentic peer-level experience with customers, extracts and articulates patterns to develop thought leadership, and develops strategies to help AWS support enterprise executives better. The team’s experience and thought leadership is shared through direct customer interactions and AWS channels such as the AWS EIR Blog (https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/enterprise-strategy/) and AWS Executive Insights (https://aws.amazon.com/executive-insights/enterprise-strategists/)
