Amazon is seeking a detail-oriented Data Support Associate to provide daily and weekly tactical support to the Transportation Operations Management (TOM) Long Term Planning team. This role focuses on executing recurring operational tasks that keep our planning processes running smoothly across the North American Transportation Operations network.
In this role, you will run established models on a set schedule, update reports and dashboards with current data, perform data pulls and basic analysis to support team deep dives, and provide administrative and project support to the planning and execution team. You will follow documented standard operating procedures to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery of recurring outputs.
The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working with data in tools like Alteryx, Excel and SQL. You will support Simple Issue Management (SIM) ticket updates, and weekly planning forecast refreshes by preparing materials and maintaining data inputs. You will escalate issues or anomalies to senior analysts when they fall outside established guidelines. You may be asked to support deep dive analysis with the guidance from senior analysts on the team.
This role requires clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate with stakeholder teams to gather inputs and confirm data. You will work within defined processes and timelines in a fast-paced environment, ensuring consistent and accurate execution of the tasks that support senior leadership decision-making.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute weekly labor schedule updates using established processes and tools, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Execute weekly linehaul driving plan tasks by following documented standard operating procedures and updating required inputs.
- Run weekly business review (WBR) reports and prepare supporting materials for internal management meetings. Participate in meetings to present data updates and flag anomalies.
- Build and update Transportation Labor plans on a weekly basis using existing labor planning tools. Identify opportunities to improve workflows and share suggestions with the team.
- Gather and compile data across business functions to support the establishment of global standards for transportation labor plan inputs.
- Help communicate established standards and best practices to operational partners through documentation and routine coordination.
- Review weekly performance metrics reports, track results against targets, and escalate gaps or trends to management for action.
- Maintain and update existing reporting dashboards, metrics artifacts, and analysis tools that drive efficiency within the business.
- Support operations and business teams by pulling data, refreshing automated reports, and assisting with process improvement implementations as directed.
- Retrieve and aggregate data from multiple sources, compiling it into clear, digestible formats that enable effective decision-making by senior team members.

We work closely with field and program partners to ensure our sites are staffed with the right number of associates to safely and efficiently run our yards and support the Amazon fulfillment network.
