Job Description

Amazon Web Services' Network Products Development team is looking for experienced hardware engineering professionals to help build our next generation networking platforms. The right candidate will play a key role in the delivery of our next generation Ethernet switching platforms for our world class data centers. Strong experience in modular chassis based enterprise/carrier products is a must.

The ideal candidate is an experienced program manager with Ethernet networking experience in the areas of terabit switch fabrics, 10/40/100 gigabit interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, and network processors. Previous experience in managing hardware programs with overseas ODM/JDM partners is a must. Experience both in development and manufacturing is required, and experience with supporting product life cycle after production release is a plus. This includes supply chain support, second source component qualification, and fleet support.

Key job responsibilities
-Program Ownership: Lead full lifecycle program management for networking hardware products - from architecture definition and design reviews through EVT/DVT/PVT validation, qualification, mass production ramp, and post lifecycle support.

-Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive alignment across hardware engineering, external ASIC/silicon teams, firmware/software, supply chain, manufacturing, and data center operations to ensure high quality, on-time, on-budget delivery.

-Risk Management: Proactively identify technical, schedule, and supply chain risks, develop mitigation strategies and escalate appropriately to leadership.

-Milestone & Schedule Management: Define and maintain detailed program schedules, track milestones, manage dependencies, and communicate status to hardware management, senior leadership and stakeholders, actively participate in writing clear communication to all stakeholders (monthly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, operational planning).

-Vendor & ODM Management: Partner with ODMs, contract manufacturers, and component suppliers to manage quality, delivery, quality, and cost.

-Process Improvement: Identify gaps in existing Amazon processes and drive improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and predictability across the organization.
