TL@NTU explores the frontiers in science and develops strategic technologies to enhance the defence and security of Singapore. TL@NTU forms part of the defence technology community in Singapore alongside DSO National Laboratories, Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), Temasek Laboratories @ NUS and @SUTD and the local defence industry.
The Centre for Quantum Sensing Technology (CQST) advances the science and engineering of next‑generation quantum sensors, with core programmes in cold‑atom sensing, quantum photonics, quantum materials, and superconducting sensor technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be involved to work on the development and characterisation of solid-state quantum sensors (e.g. color centres in diamond). The successful candidate will work on sub-projects assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI) and be involved in the design and set up of laboratory instrumentations and development of experimental protocols.
The job scope includes
To develop experiments in consultation with PI (supported by rigorous scientific, engineering and literature backed design)
To ensure conduct and proper documentations of experiments, project meetings, discussions with collaborators
To assist PI in leading and training lab staff and students related to the project
To assist PI in ensuring the operational integrity of the laboratory, provide relevant trainings to staff, students and collaborators as relevant
To support PI in events, publications, proposals, planning, monitoring, reporting related to mission of the lab as relevant
Job Requirements:
Minimally PhD in physics, engineering, materials engineering or equivalent
Relevant prior experience in quantum related work would be advantageous
