Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and driven Test Engineer who thrives on complex system integration challenges. In this role, you will go beyond test execution. You will help architect, develop, and automate the testing framework for our next-generation e-payment ecosystem, playing a key role in shaping the future of digital finance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end testing activities for an integrated e-payment system to ensure system quality, stability, and reliability.
• Plan and execute testing activities across the full testing lifecycle, including analysing business and system requirements.
• Prepare test environments, design and develop test cases, and execute test procedures effectively.
• Develop and enhance automated testing solutions using scripting or programming languages, including performance tuning and optimisation.
• Create and maintain traceability between requirements and test coverage, identify gaps, and address them accordingly.
• Log, monitor, and track defects through to resolution and closure.
• Conduct test reviews and collaborate closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance testing (UAT) defects, and address testing gaps to improve overall test efficiency.
• Develop clear and comprehensive design documents and user manuals to guide testers and stakeholders on the test automation solution.
• Implement and maintain automated testing pipelines within DevSecOps frameworks, integrating functional, performance, and basic security testing throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering;
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in executing testing and developing test automation solutions involving devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems with familiarity on the full system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to testing and deployment;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;
• Certification in software testing preferred;
• Experience in Micro-payments/Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and in diverse test execution phases (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance testing) would be an advantage;
• Experience in DevSecOps tools such as Confluence, Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms with security plugin integration would be an advantage; and
• Experience with API security testing automation and microservices security validation would be an advantage.
