Cloud Engineer (L2/L3/SME/Architect)

Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile Cloud Engineer with experience across Cloud Operations, Infrastructure Support, Cloud Migration, and Solution Design. The role offers flexibility to operate at L2 Support, L3/SME, or Architect level depending on experience and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, administer, and optimize Azure cloud environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, platform, and application-related issues.
• Participate in the design, planning, and execution of on-premises to cloud migration projects.
• Implement and maintain cloud security, backup, disaster recovery, and governance controls.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
• Collaborate with application, network, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver cloud solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers where applicable.
• Contribute to cloud architecture and modernization initiatives for enterprise environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Experience in cloud migration projects, particularly from on-premises infrastructure to Azure.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and hypervisors such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and security concepts.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and scripting is advantageous.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Infrastructure Operations, System Administration, or Cloud Engineering.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Experience in enterprise-scale cloud transformation and modernization projects is preferred.

Experience

• Open to candidates with experience ranging from L2 Support Engineers to Senior Cloud Architects.
