Finance Manager (Construction/ Project Costing, WIP)
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Accounting and financial reporting
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance
sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of financial statements
Prepare month end, quarter end and year end reporting according to local and corporate requirement
Perform financial consolidation for the group of companies
Revenue recognition and cost management
Review and ensure accurate calculation of POC revenue, monitor and analyse project turnaround time
Monitor and analyse cost drivers and their impact on project costing
Oversee cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
Financial Planning and Analysis
Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, revenue and cost projection
Conduct actual vs forecast, budget variance analysis, trending analysis, project margin analysis and simulation to provide insights on business performance and help strategic decision making
Audit and tax
Take ownership on internal and external audit, handle inquires from internal and external auditors, tax agent, tax authorities
Prepare detailed financial statements and audit-related documentations
Review and accurate submission of GST reports, annual income tax filing, withholding tax, etc
Liaise with company secretary for corporate finance matters
Treasury and banking matters
Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize financial performance
Liaise with bankers for letter of credit, performance bond, respond to bank inquiries
Team Leadership
Lead small team of finance professionals, provide guidance and training to local and oversea finance teammates, business partner with HOD of business units to support high-performance work environment
Undertake special assignments and project requirements as needed.
Requirements:
Min. Degree in Accountancy and/or ACCA/CPA equivalent
Minimum 8 years of experience in finance, including at least 5 years in a managerial role
Able to handle full set accounts and in-depth knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
Experience in project costing and construction industry background are a must
Experience in GST and withholding tax
Good ERP knowledge is a plus
