Technical Lead

Role Overview
The Technical Lead is centred on problem-solving, release integrity, and delivery assurance. You will lead a cross-functional team of internal and external resources in a scaled agile environment, focusing on stabilisation, defect resolution, and integration troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead investigation and resolution of critical production and pre-production defects blocking releases
• Perform deep-dive root cause analysis using logs, traces, database snapshots, and monitoring tools
• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of developers focused on stabilisation and bug fixing
• Conduct code and design reviews to uphold standards in maintainability, exception handling, and auditability
• Serve as the primary technical contact for Product Owners, BAs, and system stakeholders during issue resolution
• Communicate transparently about risks, delays, dependencies, and recovery plans under pressure

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in software development, at least 5 years in a technical lead role
• Proven experience owning incident and problem management lifecycles in production-critical systems
• Deep proficiency: Java 8+, Spring Boot, JPA, REST APIs, EJB, JSF, Oracle/MySQL, IBM MQ, Kafka
• Tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA, SonarQube, Splunk/ELK, Dynatrace/AppDynamics
• Prior work on client onboarding platforms, CRM systems, or workflow engines
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) or containerized deployments is an advantage
