About Crossmint

Backed by Ribbit Capital, Franklin Templeton, NYCA, First Round, and Lightspeed Faction, with $23.6M raised in 2025. Trusted by more than 40,000 clients including global leaders such as MoneyGram, WireX, Toku, and more, Crossmint provides embedded smart wallets, on/offramps, cross-chain stablecoin orchestration, tokenization, and other blockchain primitives through simple, developer-friendly APIs that integrate in minutes and scale to millions of users.
In January 2026, Crossmint secured MiCA authorization from Spain's CNMV, becoming one of a select few stablecoin infrastructure providers fully licensed to operate across all 27 EU member states and held to the same regulatory standards as traditional financial institutions. Crossmint also powers the Republic of the Marshall Islands' first digital UBI program, backs MoneyGram's new stablecoin cross-border experience launching in LATAM, and recently partnered with WireX to expand multichain stablecoin payment infrastructure to non-EVM networks like Stellar.

The Role
We’re looking for a Sr. Accountant to take ownership of group-wide accounting across our US and European entities, partnering closely with the Group Controller to deliver clean closes, audit-ready financials, and the operational backbone that lets the company scale.
You will lead the full accounting cycle — multi-entity consolidation, monthly and annual closes, external audit coordination, and intercompany reconciliations — for a group that spans the US, Europe, and other upcoming entities. You’ll work alongside a Jr. Accountant who supports day-to-day bookkeeping and transactional work, allowing you to focus on review, technical accounting, audit, and process improvement. This is a high-ownership role where the quality of your work directly enables strategic decisions, fundraising, and regulatory authorizations.
If you want to be the right hand of the Group Controller and help build a finance function that scales from start-up to regulated, multi-jurisdiction group, this role puts you at the center of it.
What You’ll Do
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closes across all group entities (US, Spain, and growing), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full US GAAP / IFRS / local PGC compliance
Lead multi-entity consolidation and intercompany reconciliations across all group entities (US, Europe, and other upcoming entities)
Partner with external auditors on the annual audit cycle — preparing working papers, owning deliverables, and resolving open items end-to-end
Review and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts and reconciliations prepared by the Jr. Accountant, flagging variances and providing clear, decision-useful explanations to management
Strengthen internal controls and document accounting processes as the group scales toward regulated activity (PSD2/EDE, MiCA, MTLs)
Contribute to ERP transition and continuous improvement of accounting systems and workflows
Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, Legal, and Operations to keep the financial picture accurate and aligned with the business
Work closely with a Jr. Accountant who supports daily bookkeeping and transactional work — providing review, guidance, and mentorship
What We’re Looking For
You’re rigorous, proactive, and ownership-driven. You enjoy untangling complex accounting questions and you take pride in clean numbers and well-documented work. You bring clarity, structure, and a calm head to fast-moving environments — and you communicate clearly with auditors, executives, and teammates alike.
You should have:
5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining audit firm and in-house roles in high-growth or international environments
Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, with working knowledge of IFRS and/or Spanish PGC
Proven experience leading or substantially contributing to multi-entity consolidation and cross-border intercompany reconciliations
Hands-on experience preparing for and collaborating closely with external auditors through full audit cycles
Comfort with AI tools and automation — you actively use AI assistants, scripting, or workflow automation to make accounting processes faster, more accurate, and more scalable
Fluent Spanish and English — both are mandatory; you’ll work daily across teams in Madrid, New York, and LATAM
Comfort working in cross-functional, remote, and international teams
Nice to have:
Experience in fintech, crypto, or digital assets — including familiarity with crypto subledgers and multi-currency / multi-wallet accounting
Exposure to ERP implementation or migration projects
Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks, Rippling, Deel, Ramp, or Payhawk
Experience in regulated environments (Banco de España, CNMV, SEC, MTL regimes, or similar)
Why Join Crossmint?
You’ll be joining a supportive, global team that values autonomy, transparency, and getting things done. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a talented and ambitious group of people to build something that matters and where your voice will be heard.
