Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Lead
Job Description
Responsibilities
-
Close commercial pre-install agreements with OEMs (Tecno, Infinix, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi) and telcos (Safaricom, MTN, Airtel, Orange) across East and West Africa

Manage full OEM lifecycle from sourcing through contract execution, preload coordination, GMS certification, and go-live

Identify and close 2+ flagship institutional partnerships (banks, super apps, telco financial services) with API integrations and stablecoin settlement agreements

Own Binance Pay corporate expansion across B2B, corporate expense management, and cross-border supplier payments

Define Africa Partnership Revenue Model and build performance dashboard tracking user acquisition, activation, transaction volume, and net revenue

Set, track, and report partnership KPIs with root cause analysis and manage partner governance through quarterly and monthly reviews

Own Year 1 activation programs with Marketing & Growth including localized onboarding, push strategies, and KYC optimization
Requirements

10+ years in B2B partnerships, business development, or go-to-market strategy in fintech, payments, or tech at scale

Proven track record closing enterprise partnerships with multi-stakeholder negotiations and commercial complexity

Deep Africa expertise with in-market networks, regulatory landscape understanding, and cultural fluency across East and West Africa

Strong understanding of mobile financial services including OEM strategies, telco partnerships, device distribution, and carrier billing

Data-driven with ability to build performance frameworks, track KPIs, and make data-informed decisions

Entrepreneurial operator comfortable starting solo, building infrastructure, and scaling operations

Excellent communication and ability to translate complex partnerships into coherent business cases for senior leadership
