Product Manager Motorsport - Sensors
Job Description
Purpose of the Role
An exciting opportunity for an early career Product Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment and has a strong passion for Motorsport and advanced technology. You will help identify customer challenges — both now and in the future — and support how our products deliver value to solve those challenges.
Working closely with engineering teams, you will contribute to managing product portfolio(s) and help create value for customers and the business.
You’ll support the full product lifecycle, from discovery through to launch, while learning how to prioritise backlogs and navigate technical decision making.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of Motorsport programmes, including Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula E and MotoGP. Products include both hardware and software components, giving you the chance to grow your technical understanding across multiple disciplines.
This role focuses on products in the Motorsport Sensors portfolio
Motion Applied develop and deliver highly customised and ruggedised sensors for the Motorsport market. This includes sensor families such as Speed sensors, Temperature and Pressure sensors, Linear and Rotary position sensors, Accelerometers, Gyros and IMUs, Tyre pressure monitoring systems, Torque measurement systems and Alternators.
With highly customisable products, portfolio management is a key part of this role, with many hundreds of SKU’s and variants.
Some sensor products also include processing, communications and intelligence, such as the Tyre pressure and Torque measurement systems

- Support the management of assigned products within their primary markets and explore opportunities for market expansion.

- Direct experience with sensing products used for high performance applications
- Knowledge and interest in sensing equipment and technology, spanning design and manufacture of sensing elements, electronics and mechanical assemblies.
- Understanding of Alternator / Generator units
- Experience with highly configurable products / product variants an advantage
These can be exposure, university projects, placements, hobbyist involvement or early-career roles — not necessarily deep expertise.
- Ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for Motorsport technology, with some hands‑on experience (e.g., student motorsport, early career engineering roles, personal projects) and an eagerness to develop commercially‑focused product management skills.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate their impact for customers and the business.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships across teams and influence constructively.
