Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner
Job Description
Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner - Financial Services Platform Delivery
PRVW Pte. Ltd. | Singapore | 12-month fixed term, convertible | Full-time
About PRVW
PRVW is a Singapore-based decision intelligence and AI consultancy building enterprise platforms for regulated industries. We are a bootstrapped startup with healthy runway, a small senior delivery team, and a funded engagement to deliver a financial services platform for an enterprise client in Singapore.
The platform supports complex financial services workflows, including structured data capture, operational processes, compliance evidence, decision support, and AI-enabled workflow automation.
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner to sit at the centre of the engagement and turn business ambiguity into clear, structured, build-ready product work.
The role
This is a senior BA role with Product Owner responsibilities. You will work directly with client stakeholders, PRVW delivery leads, design, and engineering to gather requirements, clarify scope, document workflows, and keep the delivery backlog build-ready through a fast-moving development cycle.
You will own requirements quality and backlog content. That means working up to PO level on prioritisation, scope clarity, and product decisions delegated by the delivery leads, and down into granular detail on user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases. You will convert conversations, workshops, workflows, business rules, and user needs into clear requirements and validation materials.
You will work closely with the Programme Manager, who owns delivery cadence, governance, and reporting. Together you will align backlog priorities, sprint scope, and stakeholder validation against the milestone plan. You will keep the requirements side clean so the build team can move quickly with confidence.
Because this is a regulated financial services environment, documentation discipline matters. Requirements need to be clear, traceable, and suitable for enterprise delivery.
This role expects regular face-to-face time with the client, in the region of a few days a week, for requirements workshops and validation sessions.
How we work
We are a startup and the environment reflects that. Expect a fast pace, priorities that shift as the build evolves, broad ownership, and direct access to the people making decisions. We stay flexible on working hours and where you work, organised around the fixed points that matter: client sessions, delivery milestones, and team coordination. In return we look for self-direction, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias to action.
You will do well here if you are energised by autonomy and room to move at pace. The fixed hours, rigid structure, and layered process of a large bank or corporate are not how we operate.
What you'll do
• Lead requirements gathering with client stakeholders, SMEs, operations, compliance, product, and engineering.
• Translate business workflows, rules, controls, and user needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Own and maintain the delivery backlog in Linear, keeping work structured, prioritised, and build-ready.
• Make and document product-level prioritisation and scope decisions within the authority delegated by the delivery leads.
• Work closely with design and engineering to clarify scope, resolve open questions, and support fast delivery cycles.
• Partner with the Programme Manager to align backlog priorities, sprint scope, and validation with the milestone plan.
• Maintain documentation discipline, including decisions, assumptions, changes, traceability, and validation evidence.
• Support agile ceremonies, demos, stakeholder reviews, and client validation sessions.
• Use AI tooling to accelerate documentation, story drafting, workflow mapping, and test case preparation while maintaining quality.
What you'll bring
• Three to five years or more as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or hybrid BA/PO on software product builds, ideally in banking, insurance, wealth, advisory, or financial services.
• Proven ability to operate both at PO level and in granular BA detail on the same engagement.
• Experience working with active development teams in agile or iterative delivery environments.
• Proven ability to gather, structure, and document requirements for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Confidence engaging directly with enterprise stakeholders, including senior users, SMEs, and operational teams.
• Hands-on backlog management using Linear, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar, with working fluency across Confluence, Slack, Figma, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to break complex workflows into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Practical experience using AI tools for requirements analysis, documentation, test case drafting, or workflow modelling.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Comfort working at pace in a startup or scale-up delivery environment.
Nice to have
• Compliance-sensitive or regulated workflow experience.
• Regtech or fintech background.
• Exposure to AI-enabled software development lifecycle approaches.
• Experience on enterprise SaaS, workflow platforms, CRM, operations platforms, or data-driven products.
• Familiarity with Singapore financial services or regulated-industry delivery.
Eligibility
Due to project requirements, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents for this role.
