ERP Platform Engineer

Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Platform Engineer (ERP Software Solutions) to design, develop, and maintain enterprise software systems across our ERP platforms and internally developed applications. This role focuses on building scalable platform capabilities, implementing system integrations, and ensuring the reliability and performance of business-critical systems.

You will work with commercial ERP platforms such as Epicor, as well as proprietary in-house solutions, contributing to the continuous improvement of our enterprise technology stack.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, while contributing to the evolution of system architecture, development standards, and platform performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions within ERP platforms and internally developed applications using C# and related technologies.

• Analyse user requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications, applying software engineering principles and best practices.

• Enhance existing software capabilities through customization, extension, and continuous improvement of ERP and in-house systems.

• Develop and execute testing and validation procedures to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance.

• Build and maintain system integrations between ERP platforms and external systems using APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system issues, including performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure and system engineers, to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.

• Maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, development standards, and implementation details.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 1–3 years of experience in software/application/platform engineering, software development, system implementation, or enterprise application development.

• Proficiency in C#, .NET, or similar programming languages.

• Experience in analysing user requirements and developing software solutions in a structured development environment.

• Familiarity with software testing, debugging, and validation processes.

• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

• Understanding of system integration concepts, including APIs and web services.

Preferred:

• Experience with ERP platforms (e.g., Epicor or similar enterprise systems).

• Exposure to business process automation, workflows, or system customization.

• Familiarity with reporting tools such as SSRS or equivalent.

• Basic understanding of system architecture, performance tuning, or cloud-based environments.
