Test Engineer

The Test Engineer (Senior) is responsible for leading end-to-end testing activities for IT systems, ensuring they meet functional, security, and regulatory requirements. The role supports the delivery of secure, reliable digital services aligned with Singapore Government standards (e.g., IM8, PDPA). Key Responsibilities 1.Test Strategy & Governance •Develop and implement test strategies aligned with Government project frameworks(e.g., GovTech standards) •Ensure compliance with:

• IM8 security policies
• PDPA (data protection requirements)
• Government ICT & cybersecurity guidelines
• Define test approach, scope, entry/exit criteria 2.Test Planning & Execution •Manage full testing lifecycle: System Integration Testing (SIT) End-to-End testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination with agencies •Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects •Monitor testing progress, risks, and issues 3.Stakeholder Management Collaborate with:
• Government agencies
• Business users
• Programme/project managers •Facilitate defect triage and resolution discussions

1. Defect & Quality Management • Govern defect lifecycle: o Logging, triaging, prioritization, and closure • Ensure minimal defect leakage into production • Drive quality assurance processes and audits
2. Security & Compliance Testing • Ensure testing covers: o Performance testing o Security testing - VA/PT coordination (where applicable) Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline • 3++ years of experience in software testing / QA, preferably in large-scale systems • Strong knowledge of: o SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) o Testing tools (e.g., JIRA) Preferred Experience • Exposure to GovTech or public digital services

Familiarity with: o IM8 policies and government security standards o Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure – especially GCC environments) • Automation & Continuous Improvement o Promote adoption of test automation and DevSecOps practices (where applicable) o Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (where applicable) o Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency and coverage Additional Notes • Role may require working with confidential or classified data • Candidates may need to undergo security clearance
