Cloud Architect

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture

• Design & Strategy: Translate business requirements into robust technical architectures, defining the scope, tech stack, integration patterns, and HLD/LLD.

• Decision Making: Evaluate build-vs-buy options and document architectural decisions, explicitly balancing trade-offs, assumptions, and risks.

• Quality Attributes: Ensure all solutions meet non-functional requirements, including scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

1. Delivery Leadership & Governance

• End-to-End Ownership: Lead technical delivery through implementation, testing, and deployment, ensuring alignment with the agreed design.

• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate technical risks; drive resolutions for complex engineering bottlenecks.

• Quality Assurance: Maintain delivery excellence by establishing and enforcing code/design reviews and engineering standards.

1. Stakeholder Advisory & Communication

• Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

• Growth Support: Partner with pre-sales and account teams to provide technical input for scoping, estimation, and SOW/proposal development.

• Expectation Management: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly insights to align expectations on feasibility, timelines, and trade-offs.

1. Team Leadership

• Mentorship: Guide and develop engineers and junior architects to foster technical growth.

• Continuous Improvement: Champion modern design patterns, DevOps best practices, and agile delivery methodologies to optimize internal processes.

Qualifications Required

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.

• Experience: 7+ years in software delivery, with at least 3 years in a solution architecture or tech lead capacity.

• Cloud & Architecture: Proven track record with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern patterns (microservices, APIs, event-driven systems).

• Methodologies: Strong experience managing technical delivery within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid frameworks.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred

• Certifications: Active cloud or architecture credentials (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).

• Domain Expertise: Background in enterprise systems integration, consulting, professional services, or specialized industries.

• DevOps Practice: Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern security frameworks.

Core Competencies

• Technical Breadth: Highly credible when discussing abstract architecture or diving into hands-on delivery.
