Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to drive business growth by promoting and selling our engineering services and technical solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, provide suitable solutions, and maintain strong client relationships. This role involves regular interaction with clients, project teams, and occasional local and international travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand customers' technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with clients.
  • Liaise with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
  • Create, submit, and follow up on quotations to secure projects and business opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and successfully close sales opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Gather feedback from customers and prospects and communicate insights to internal teams.
  • Travel locally and internationally to meet clients, support business development activities, and maintain customer relationships.

Competency Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of commercial, sales, or business development experience.
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the offshore and marine sector will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and review Chinese-language technical or commercial documents will be an advantage, as the role involves regular interaction with Chinese-speaking clients, suppliers, and business partners in regional markets.
  • Possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel independently for business purposes.
