Senior Design Engineering Manager
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the Technical & Design Department (Engineering, Design, Drafting).
• Act as the highest technical authority across all projects.
• Oversee design development from tender stage through to project completion.
• Review and approve design concepts, calculations, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, codes, and client specifications.
• Drive constructability, value engineering, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Resolve complex technical and interdisciplinary issues.
• Coordinate with Operations, Project Management, QA/QC, HSE, and Commercial teams.
• Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and authorities.
• Provide technical support on contracts, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Promote innovation, standardization, and continuous improvement
Authority
• Final approval of all technical and design deliverables.
• Authority to revise or reject non-compliant or high-risk designs.
• Recommend the appointment of external consultants and specialists.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural or related discipline), recognized by the PE Board.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
