Senior Planning Engineer – Building Projects

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join Main Contractor project team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules for large-scale building construction projects, ensuring timely delivery while supporting project management with accurate planning and progress analysis.

Position: Senior Planning Engineer – Up to SGD 9,500 (Negotiable)

Note: Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Singapore

Package Information: Upto SG$ 9,500 per Month (Negotiable), 13 Months Guaranteed, upto 2.5 months of Performance Bonus, Dental insurance, Double pay, Gratuity, Life insurance, medical insurance, Travel allowance

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and maintain construction schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or other planning software.
• Develop and monitor baseline schedules including resource loading, sequencing, and progress tracking.
• Monitor construction progress and identify delay events and their impact on project timelines.
• Prepare progress reports, schedule updates, and planning analysis for project management teams.
• Develop recovery programmes to mitigate delays and maintain project schedules.
• Prepare commissioning programmes and coordinate with project teams for timely completion.
• Support post-contract claims, delay analysis, and programme reviews where required.
• Ensure planning and scheduling practices comply with industry standards and project requirements.
• Continuously review and recommend improvements to planning and scheduling systems.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure effective programme management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5–10 years of planning experience in building construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Good understanding of construction planning, scheduling techniques, and delay analysis.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project schedules and coordinate with various project stakeholders.
