About the Role

The primary job responsibility of the Production Process Engineer is to optimize production processes by analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations. They are responsible for assessing and mitigating potential risks, implementing safety measures, and ensuring that the production processes meet all applicable regulatory requirements.  They play a key role in supporting new product development and scale-up activities with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful introduction of new products into the production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all Plant’s equipment reliability and usability

  • Review and plan equipment service and replacement schedule
  • Conduct root analysis for complicated equipment breakdown and exceptional report
  • Recommend for equipment modifications.
  • Take charge of schedule for plant equipment overhaul and service SDM tasks
  • Respond to urgent breakdown incident

Ensure equipment efficiency by optimizing equipment service and maintenance procedures and frequency

  • Review and develop equipment service, maintenance, and overhaul SOPs & master plan

Monitor and ensure Plant’s compliance with MOM safety regulations, and systems and equipment meet required standards

  • Response for Monthly equipment PM execution and SDM equipment service, replacement, and overhaul
  • Response for statutory equipment yearly inspection and certification.
  • Attend to equipment troubleshooting
  • Manage inventory updates.
  • Review, prepare and provide inputs for Risk Assessment

Evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance strategies and identify areas for cost reduction

  • Manage and supervise contractors’ work.
  • Negotiate the price of the proposal sent by contractors.
  • Review reports submitted by contractors.
  • Manage the cost of the project and project milestones.
  • Manage the RM cost

Ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet the desired specifications

  • Review all vendor contracts and recommend the performance of contractors.
  • Conduct vendor service performance audit
  • Liaise with HQ technical team for process improvement and equipment issues

What We’re Looking For

  • Min of 5 years of relevant working experience (Diploma)
  • Intermediate MS Office
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good Written and spoken English.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good presentation skills to share and brief co-workers and management with clarity.
  • Rich experience indifferent kind of motorized equipment service, troubleshooting
  • Good knowledge in Mechanical related, e.g. material, application etc.
  • Able to read P&ID drawing.
  • Able to carry out hands-on work.
  • Have leadership and supervision skills to guide and coach team members
  • Independent individual that does not require supervision. 
  • Good Communication skills, being a good team player who can collaborate across different teams and departments.
  • Positive working attitude
  • Willing to learn new things.
  • Self-motivated to look for problems and solutions.
  • Inquisitive and innovative mind to explore new areas and technologies.
  • Possess a safety mindset

  • Location: Jurong Island (Company Transport provided)
  • Commence work: ASAP.
  • Applicants can work in Singapore without requiring a work pass.
  • Working Hours: Mon ~ Fri from 8:00 am - 4:45 pm
