Electrical Engineer (Renewable Energy Projects)

Job Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support and/or lead the electrical engineering aspects of renewable energy and energy storage projects. Depending on experience, the successful candidate will be hired at either Junior or Senior level.

This role involves the design, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting the successful delivery of projects. You will be part of a growing team working on impactful sustainability projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with electrical consultants and internal teams to develop and review electrical system designs
• Design and review electrical systems including power distribution, protection systems, cabling, and grounding
• Support and/or oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with design specifications and timelines
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards (e.g., EMA, SS standards, safety requirements)
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities for smooth project delivery
• Attend project meetings and site visits, providing technical input and resolving engineering issues
• Prepare and review technical documentation such as single-line diagrams, load calculations, reports, and specifications
• Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Promote and ensure adherence to safety standards across all project phases

Requirements

For Junior Engineers:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in electrical design, consultancy, or construction (fresh graduates with strong internships may be considered)
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and local regulations/standards

For Senior Engineers:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in electrical design, consultancy, or project execution
• Strong knowledge of Singapore electrical regulations, standards, and approval processes
• Experience in project coordination and stakeholder management

For All Candidates:

• Proficient in electrical design tools/software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux or equivalent)
• Familiarity with power systems, protection schemes, and commissioning processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is preferred to liaise with regional stakeholders
• Willingness to travel overseas (including China and regional project sites)

Additional Information

• Experience in renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV, battery energy storage systems) will be an advantage
• Knowledge of grid connection requirements and utility submissions is a plus
• Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates with significantly relevant experience may be considered for a higher compensation package.
