ICT Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in cloud transformation initiatives, infrastructure automation, system reliability, and operational excellence while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design & Integration

• Design, implement, and maintain complex infrastructure integration solutions across cloud platforms (primarily AWS) and on-premises environments.
• Develop scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure architectures that support business and application requirements.
• Plan and execute cloud migration initiatives, including assessment, design, implementation, and optimisation activities.

Infrastructure Automation & Configuration Management

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks, scripts, and tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Standardise infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.

Systems Administration & Platform Management

• Manage, administer, and optimise Unix/Linux operating systems and associated services.
• Deploy, maintain, and tune Elasticsearch clusters for log aggregation, monitoring, and analytics.
• Ensure infrastructure components meet performance, security, and availability requirements.

Monitoring, Observability & Reliability

• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, and related technologies.
• Monitor infrastructure and application performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Containerisation & Kubernetes Operations

• Deploy, manage, and support containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
• Perform day-to-day cluster administration, maintenance, upgrades, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Implement container orchestration best practices to ensure reliability and operational efficiency.

DevOps & Continuous Delivery

• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to define integration requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated application delivery and infrastructure deployment.
• Promote DevOps culture and best practices across the organisation.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, network, system, and application issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimise service disruptions.
• Provide technical guidance and support for critical production environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and configuration management using Ansible.
• Advanced administration experience with Unix/Linux systems.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker environments.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix.
• Experience with Elasticsearch administration and log management solutions.
• Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).
• Experience with cloud migration and modernisation projects.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and infrastructure governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
