Job Title: HR Executive (Construction Industry)
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Executive to support human resource functions within the construction industry. The role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, and compliance with labor regulations, particularly for site-based workforce and project staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding of site and office staff.
- Handle employee records, contracts, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Administer payroll, attendance, and leave management, including coordination with finance and external vendors if applicable.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and work permit requirements (e.g., for foreign workers).
- Support training and development programs, including coordination of safety certifications and onboarding sessions.
- Address employee queries and manage employee relations, including resolving workplace issues and grievances.
- Maintain and update HR systems and databases.
- Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with company goals.
- Support performance appraisal processes and employee evaluations.
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors on manpower planning and deployment.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
- Familiarity with labor laws, work permits, and employment regulations.
- Experience handling blue-collar and site workforce is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, payroll systems, and HRIS.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of construction industry practices and workforce management.
- Experience with HR systems, payroll software, or ERP systems.
- Familiarity with health and safety compliance in construction environments.
- HR certification (e.g., IHRP, SHRM) is an advantage.
