Job Title: Drafter (HVAC / Ducting – Construction Industry)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Drafter with experience in HVAC ducting systems to support our construction projects. The Drafter will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, and coordination models for ducting works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, layout drawings, and as-built drawings for HVAC ducting systems using CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and site measurements to produce accurate drafting outputs.
• Coordinate ducting layouts with other services, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and structural disciplines.
• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, local codes, and relevant standards.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and project teams.
• Assist in clash detection and coordination using BIM tools where applicable.
• Maintain organized documentation for drawings, revisions, and project records.
• Support project teams during installation by providing technical drafting assistance.
• Perform site visits when required to verify dimensions and conditions.

Requirements

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in drafting within the construction or HVAC/ducting industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or other BIM software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ducting layouts, and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with coordination of MEP services in construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Knowledge of local building codes and standards.
• Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
