Trade Operations Specialist or Assistant Manager

Location: Suntec

Working hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end trading documentation for international trade transactions.
• Coordinate with HQ in Korea, suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Process vendor orders and monitor shipment schedules.
• Review purchase contracts and prepare / issue Letters of Credit (L/C) where required.
• Prepare and verify trade and shipping documents including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), and other required export/import documents.
• Ensure documentation complies with L/C terms, contract requirements, and shipping timelines.
• Process Purchase Orders (POs), sales transactions, and goods returns in SAP.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) related to trade transactions.
• Support month-end closing, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Perform other administrative or operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in trading operations with hands-on experience in trading documentation (essential).
• Strong knowledge of Letters of Credit (L/C), Bills of Lading, shipping documents, and international trade procedures.
• Experience in dry bulk shipping would be an advantage.
• Experience in SAP system will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Candidates who can start immediately will be preferred.
