Trade Operations Specialist or Assistant Manager
Location: Suntec
Working hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5pm
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end trading documentation for international trade transactions.
- Coordinate with HQ in Korea, suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Process vendor orders and monitor shipment schedules.
- Review purchase contracts and prepare / issue Letters of Credit (L/C) where required.
- Prepare and verify trade and shipping documents including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), and other required export/import documents.
- Ensure documentation complies with L/C terms, contract requirements, and shipping timelines.
- Process Purchase Orders (POs), sales transactions, and goods returns in SAP.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) related to trade transactions.
- Support month-end closing, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Perform other administrative or operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in trading operations with hands-on experience in trading documentation (essential).
- Strong knowledge of Letters of Credit (L/C), Bills of Lading, shipping documents, and international trade procedures.
- Experience in dry bulk shipping would be an advantage.
- Experience in SAP system will be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Candidates who can start immediately will be preferred.
