Technician Lead

Core Identity and Role

• Position Overview: A senior technician role focused on advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and technical leadership within the workshop.

• Operational Focus: Supports repair accuracy, technical standards, and capability development across the technical team.

• Work Environment: Technical workshop environment involving hands-on diagnostics and troubleshooting.

• Stakeholder Interaction: Provides guidance to technicians and liaises with manufacturer technical support when required.

Key Technical Functions

• Advanced Diagnostics & Repairs:
  Lead troubleshooting and repair of complex vehicle systems, including EV systems.

• Technical Guidance:
  Mentor and support technicians to improve technical capability and repair quality.

• Repair Quality Improvement:
  Improve first-time fix rates and ensure adherence to technical standards.

• Technical Compliance & Safety:
  Ensure compliance with technical procedures and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:
  Minimum 5–10 years of automotive technician experience.

• Technical Skills:
  Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities with EV/high-voltage knowledge preferred.

• Core Skills:

  • Technician leadership and mentoring

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair standards
