
Publisher Manager, Entertainment - Content Operation - Berlin (Third-party Associate)

Team intro: We are the Entertainment team at TikTok Germany, focused on building a strong ecosystem of creators and partners across the entertainment industry. We work closely with broadcasters, studios, and streaming platforms to bring high-quality content to TikTok, while enabling new ways for audiences to discover, engage with, and participate in TV & Film culture. Our goal is to support partners in growing their presence on the platform and unlocking both cultural and business impact.
Responsibilities:
- Publisher & Partner Management (TV & Film): Manage a portfolio of local TV & Film publishers (broadcasters, studios, streamers), supporting their growth on the platform through tailored content and distribution strategies. Provide strategic recommendations on product usage to drive audience engagement and cultural relevance.
- Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with TV & Film partners, understanding their content pipelines and business goals to deliver customized support.
- Content & Campaign Strategy: Partner with cross-functional teams (Comms, Product, Marketing, Sales) to support quarterly business reviews and tentpole activations (e.g., premieres, festivals).
- Content Acquisition & IP Partnerships: Support negotiations and onboarding of new TV & Film partners and expanding the diversity and quality of entertainment content on the platform.
- Creator x Publisher Ecosystem: Facilitate collaboration between publishers and creators to drive high-quality, original storytelling, strengthening TikTok as a discovery and participation platform for TV & Film.
- Scaled Publisher Community Management: Support long-tail TV & Film publishers through scalable education, communication channels, and best-practice sharing to uplift overall content quality.
- Project & Program Management: Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives (e.g. campaigns, partnerships, pilot programs), ensuring alignment across teams, clear timelines, and successful execution.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in partner management, account management, or related functions in the TV/Fim Industry, with demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, commercial problem solving and XFN collaboration & communication.
- Fluency in both English and German (both written and spoken to communicate with the German partners)
- Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong/proven understanding of the TV & Film industry, including content production, distribution models, and the streaming landscape. Proactive mindset with eagerness to learn, contribute, and shape the future of the TV & Film ecosystem on the platform.
- Experience in partner management, publisher relations, or content ecosystem development.
- Understanding of entertainment content trends, storytelling formats, and audience behavior across platforms. Experience with social media platforms (e.g. TikTok, YouTube, Instagram), including a strong understanding of platform dynamics, content formats, and audience behavior.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
