Job Description

Job Summary

As the M&A Manager, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end M&A processes —from strategic planning and deal sourcing through to execution and post-merger integration. A core priority will be supporting the post-merger integration of SEMICAPS and Unicomp and working closely with the CEO of SEMICAPS on upcoming M&A pipeline and business development activities.

You will collaborate with C-suite executives and global and regional business leaders to identify and execute strategic opportunities that support the company's inorganic growth agenda across Singapore, China, and international markets, serving as a key driver of year-over-year inorganic growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end post-merger integration of SEMICAPS, including workstream planning, milestone tracking, stakeholder alignment, and issue resolution across functions (finance, operations, HR, IT, legal, and commercial).
  • Define and monitor integration KPIs and synergy targets, providing regular progress updates to senior leadership and the steering committee.
  • Facilitate cultural andoperational alignment, identifying risks early and driving mitigation plans.
  • Serve as the primary integration point of contact for SEMICAPS leadership, managing interdependencies and escalations.

M&A & Business Development

  • Work closely with the CEO of SEMICAPS to identify, evaluate, and progress potential M&A targets and business development opportunities.
  • Lead or support the full M&A lifecycle — from strategic planning, target identification, financial evaluation, and due diligence through to negotiation and deal closing.
  • Conduct financial modelling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning to support investment decisions.
  • Prepare and present M&A proposals, business cases, and recommendations to investment and steering committees for approval.
  • Work with external advisers, consultants, and legal teams to execute transactions effectively.

Strategic Partnership & Business Support

  • Collaborate with C-suite and senior business leaders to define strategic objectives, assess market trends, and identify potential acquisition or partnership opportunities.
  • Participate in cross-functional strategic projects and deliver recommendations to drive business performance and operational efficiency.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline
  • Master’s degree or MBA in a relevant field is highly desirable
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in M&A, corporate development, investment projects, or financial advisory, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors
  • Solid experience in managing complex transactions from origination to integration
  • Background in investment banking or Big 4 corporate finance with relevant industry experience is welcome
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
  • High level of integrity, business acumen, and strategic thinking
