Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Ensure efficient and effective management of design activities on tenders and projects to ensure that all design requirements of the contract are fulfilled.
  2. Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements, including standards and codes of practice, relating to the design.
  3. To oversee and supervise existing design team.
  4. Ensure design process and submissions comply with statutory regulations and requirements.
  5. Responsible to provide a fully functional structural system, analysis and calculations to fulfill adequate structural integrity and accuracy of the design.
  6. Must be able to lead, manage and check all kinds of design drawings by members.
  7. Coordination with relevant departments during the Design stage.
  8. Ensure that all technical/detailed drawings are compliant with the relevant codes and/or regulatory requirements.
  9. Ensure that all drawings must be done with constructability to site requirements, be practical, easy to understand, able to meet clients’ expectations and good profitability for the Company.
  10. To provide regular evaluations, findings, and project results to the Tokyo Head Office in Japan.

Requirements:

  1. Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 7 years of working experience in the related field.
  3. Proficient in Software such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
  4. Able to lead a team.
  5. Fluency in spoken and written Japanese is required, as the incumbent will need to communicate and collaborate with counterparts at the Tokyo Head Office, including preparing monthly progress reports.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks well and able to work independently.
  7. Required to be resourceful, pay attention to details and have good communication skills.
