Job Description
Under the direction of the Head of Global Callebaut Chocolate Academy, the Director, Regional Callebaut Chocolate Academy will lead the Chef services in all activities by focusing on delivering a unique customer experience to all typology of customers for the region.
He/she is directly managing the Head Chefs Chocolate Academy of the region. This crucial role is to ensure a consistency for the whole region in delivering a unique customer journey. The service offering, defined by four key pillars (support, innovation/inspiration, education and community) is to support all typology of customers for the entire region.
He/she is responsible together with the Director, Digital Academy to support the chef service in the digital transformation by leading thedeliverables of dedicated digital content.
He/she is the “face” of the Barry Callebaut culinary expertise in Chocolate & Cocoa to the food manufacturing, top B2B/B2C Brands and the artisanal word across the region and Gourmet brands.
He/she is responsible for leading the development of the next generation of chocolate experiences. By working with the Market segment team and consumer insight team, he/she is translating consumer trends into compelling, indulgent, unexpected concepts to inspire innovative solutions for our customers & help them to grow.
Internally, the Director, Regional Callebaut Chocolate Academy is playing an equally critical role in shaping our customer journey to be best-in-class, as well as helping to ensure that our winning portfolio, innovation & services always line up to the high standard or solutions our customers are looking for.
He/she is leading the Callebaut Chocolate Academy across the region by pioneering in the world of bakery , pastry, confectionery, ice cream and beverage as well as supporting our strategic long term growth priorities.
He/she is taking the role of influencer internally and externally by empowering his/her team across the whole region, helping talent to grow, having a strong digital influence within the Food Industry and scaling best practices across the region.
He/she is leading the internal sales training to support the transformation of our sales team to become ingredients experts and transforming Barry Callebaut being an ingredient company to become a solution provider delivering a best-in-class service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Chocolate Academies of the region
- Working closely with the Barry Callebaut team to support the innovation launch, marketing campaign and embedding a superb customer journey.
- Driving the customer journey in solution selling and promoting our winning portfolio
- Supporting the service offers digital transformation.
- Working closely with the event team to bring alive the Callebaut Chocolate Academy digitally or during fair and event.
- Being influential in the chef community to attract segment experts, new hires, influencers and guest chefs on dedicated projects. He/she is also an internal ambassador to support our Passion for food internally!
- Taking a key role within the Chef services across the region to support our sustainability ambitions.
- Empowering his/her Chef team and supporting their career growth when relevant.
- Having budget/cost center(s) responsibility (P&L) for the Academy of the region
- Manage the Academy footprint and key openings or relocating projects closely with the local Academy.
- Build a strong network with Academy sponsors in the region & enable additional regional and local sponsorships.
Work Experience/Education:
● Advance training in Confectionery/Bakery/Ice Cream/Dairy/Pastry/Cereals
● Specific diploma in Confectionery and Pastry transformation
● Knowledge of the ISB, QSR and KA market
● Knowledge of Chocolate and Cocoa Food Manufacturer Industry preferred and B2B market relatives to food industry
● 15+ years of experience

● Strong communication and organization skills

● Strong digital influencer and knowledge of several Social Media platforms (IG, FB, LK…)
● Salesforce knowledge
● Ability to work well in a high expectations environment
● Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and portray a professional and positive image
● Project management mindset
