Operations Coordinator
Job Description
This is a 12-months contract role under Optimum Solutions.
Work Schedule Arrangement and Conditions:
• Shift work: Rotating 5-Day Workweek schedules (early mornings/late nights). Candidate needs to be open to working weekends (priority) and potentially afternoon-night/midnight shifts
• Working hours: Weekdays &Weekends (but only 5 days’ work a week)
• Physical demands: Walking the depot, occasional lifting (<15kg), outdoor exposure during shift transitions.
• Environment: 20% desk-bound (monitoring, documentation), 80%depot-based (briefings, vehicle prep, end-of-day vehicle data management)
Work Hours:
• Required to work any five (5) days per week on a rotating shift schedule, based on the following shift timings:
> Morning Shift:8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break)
> Evening Shift:2:30 PM – 11:30 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour dinner break)
Note:
Shift schedules and working hours may be adjusted from time to time, subject to operational requirements.
Job Purpose:
The AV Site Coordinator is the backbone of daily autonomous vehicle operations, responsible for ensuring seamless execution of depot and on-road activities. This role is critical to maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of our AV fleet through effective coordination of personnel, vehicle readiness, site logistics, and issue escalation. It combines elements of fleet management, shift planning, people leadership, and hands-on support — all within a fast-paced, high-compliance AV testing and operations environment.
Responsibilities:
• Site Operations & Vehicle Readiness
> Oversee daily site operations to ensure the fleet is deployed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
> Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day depot operational activity on site.
> Ensure AVs are prepared and deployed according to operational timelines, managing tasks such as cleaning, charging, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and software updates.
> Maintain accurate logs for fleet status, shift attendance, and incident reporting.
• Stakeholder Management
> Liaise with third-party vendors, fleet team, security, and cleaning services to ensure a smooth daily operating environment.
• Compliance & Reporting
> Ensure all logs, trip reports, and vehicle documents are up to date and compliant.
> Participate in audits with regulators or internal safety teams.
Qualifications:
Must Have
• Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3/4 driving license with a clean record (no major violations in the past 3 years).
• This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with stake holders in English and Mandarin, as these are the primary working languages used in daily operations.
• Demonstrated technological proficiency: Comfortable with tablets, diagnostic tools, and basic software interfaces.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• A strong commitment to safety.
Nice to Have
• Certification in defensive driving or safety training (e.g., WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety).
• Prior experience in depot, logistics, fleet coordination, vehicle operations, and/or control room operations.
