Junior Digital Project Manager (Banking/ Digital Transformation)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support delivery of digital transformation projects within banking or financial services.
  • Coordinate with business users, product owners, technology teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Track project plans, milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
  • Prepare project status reports, meeting minutes, RAID logs, dashboards, and management updates.
  • Support requirement discussions, solution walkthroughs, UAT planning, implementation readiness, and post-go-live activities.
  • Work closely with digital, data, AI, and technology teams to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes.
  • Assist in digital process improvement, automation, customer journey enhancement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Support Gen AI / AI-related initiatives such as use case tracking, requirement coordination, governance follow-up, testing support, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Ensure project documentation, approvals, sign-offs, and governance processes are properly maintained.
  • Follow up proactively with stakeholders to close open items and remove delivery blockers.
  • Take ownership of assigned workstreams and ensure delivery within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 6 to 9 years of experience in project coordination / project management / digital delivery roles.
  • Prior experience working in the banking or financial services domain is required.
  • Experience in digital transformation, digital channels, process automation, customer journey improvement, data, or technology change projects.
  • Basic understanding or exposure to Generative AI, AI use cases, automation, chatbots, intelligent workflow, or AI-enabled digital solutions is good to have
  • Good understanding of project lifecycle, SDLC, Agile / Waterfall / hybrid delivery models.
  • Experience preparing project plans, status reports, RAID logs, meeting notes, and management updates.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and follow-up skills.
  • Good communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, or similar tools.
