Service Technician

Job Overview

• To provide service activities for medical equipment in healthcare environments, based at our customer site.
• As a primary field contact for technical service, ensuring customer satisfaction and effective case resolution.
• To be an excellent team player and in building relationships.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Provide preventive maintenance and repair service at customer location in accordance with Company’s established procedures, techniques, tools, test equipment and replacement parts.
• Installation, commissioning, calibration, and testing of relevant equipment at customer locations according to Getinge’s protocol.
• Implementing Field Corrective Actions.
• Handling administrative work associated with service delivery.
• Responsible for customers’ complaints and providing support for corrective maintenance.
• Meeting key KPIs assigned to you as an individual and of Service department.
• Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with customers and co-workers through teamwork.
• Sharing of knowledge and providing advice to clients and their staff as well as all end-users, on the proper operation and usage of the equipment.
• Hard-working, team player, independent, hands-on, customer oriented and good attitude.
• Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Company and/or Manager.

Minimum Requirements

•  ITE and/or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3 years’ working experience in field service for industrial equipment
• Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry would be a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and follow maintenance guidelines.
• Hard-working, team player, independent, hands-on, customer oriented and good attitude.
• Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in both verbal and written English Technical or manual requirements which are typically learned or acquired through training, these should be measurable and observable.
• Personal and social attributes which tend to be innate or acquired demonstrate the capability to perform the job responsibilities.

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions

• Field-based position with frequent presence in Hospitals sector requiring strict adherence to hospital infection control and safety policies.
• Physical requirements such as handling, lifting and replacement of parts, must observe ergonomic and safety-based practices.
• Must comply with all company environment, health and safety policies, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
• May work extended hours during peak business cycles.
• Travel requirements: occasional.
