Associate Trainee — Digital Marketing & Communications
Job Description
The Opportunity
If your social feed reads like an editorial mood board — fashion, beauty, wellness, design, tech and a healthy obsession with what’s next — keep reading.
Access Communications is on the lookout for bright, media-savvy graduates to join us as Associate Trainees in our Singapore office. Think of this as your real-world MBA in boutique PR, marketing and events — minus the textbooks, plus the launches, campaigns and brand moments you’ve been watching from the outside.
What You’ll Learn
Through on-the-job coaching, you’ll cover:
Life at a boutique communications agency, from the inside
PR and social media fundamentals — what works, what doesn’t, and why
Writing skills, content generation and storytelling for brands
Working with media, influencers, vendors and partners
Management and interpersonal skills you’ll use for the rest of your career
Creative and commercial awareness — how ideas turn into business
Team leadership and how to take ownership of an account
Presenting an Access Communications new-business pitch
What You’ll Do
Plan and execute campaigns alongside the account executives
Use traditional and digital tools (Facebook, Instagram, online resources) to support the team
Research and identify the right reporters, journalists and news contacts
Build and maintain relationships with media and key community stakeholders
Monitor news sources and flag breaking news relevant to our clients
Identify strong news angles and media opportunities
Support ongoing media features such as columns and Q&As
Create insightful briefing sheets to prep clients for press moments
Organise media interviews and briefings
Help coordinate press tours, events and review programmes
Draft press materials and compelling content across traditional and digital channels
Track, measure and report on media relations activity
What We’re Looking For
A recent graduate (or final-year student) with genuine interest in arts, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, tech and social media
Independent, resourceful, observant — comfortable figuring things out
Positive energy, great attitude, and a strong work ethic
Comfortable juggling research, writing and admin in the same afternoon
What You’ll Get
Real ownership from day one — not coffee runs and photocopying
Exposure to global lifestyle, luxury and consumer brands
Direct mentorship from senior PR and marketing practitioners
A small, collaborative team where your work is visible
Strong potential for a full-time Junior Associate offer (with revised package) on successful completion
