Production Manager

Job Summary

Lead and manage steel reinforcement fabrication and plant operations to achieve production, quality, delivery, and safety targets. Drive production excellence across cut & bend processing, stirrup production, prefabricated reinforcement cage fabrication, bored pile cage production, and logistics coordination. Support workforce development, automation initiatives, and digital transformation projects to strengthen manufacturing efficiency and customer service.

Responsibilities

Production Leadership

• Lead and manage the entire production department to achieve output, quality, and delivery KPIs.

• Develop and implement production, manpower, and capacity plans to support project demands.

• Manage production scheduling and resource allocation across cut & bend, stirrup, and reinforcement cage fabrication lines.

• Drive productivity improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce material wastage.

• Ensure timely completion of customer orders and project requirements.

Steel Reinforcement Fabrication Operations

• Oversee daily operations for steel reinforcement processing, including cut & bend services, stirrup production, prefabricated reinforcement cages, and bored pile cage fabrication.

• Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to meet operational targets.

• Coordinate closely with planning, logistics, and project teams to ensure smooth workflow and delivery execution.

• Review production reports and identify opportunities for process optimization and cost improvement.

• Support the implementation of automation technologies and modern fabrication equipment.

Workforce Management

• Lead and develop Production Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, Machine Operators, and production staff.

• Manage workforce planning, overtime, productivity, and deployment to meet operational requirements.

• Develop training programs to enhance technical competency, safety awareness, and leadership capabilities.

• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to improve team performance and engagement.

• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Quality Management

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.

• Maintain quality standards for steel reinforcement fabrication and production processes.

• Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, production accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.

• Support ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System implementation and compliance.

• Lead safety inspections, toolbox meetings, incident investigations, and corrective actions.

• Promote a strong safety culture across production and yard operations.

• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe work practices throughout the facility.

Maintenance & Asset Management

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize machine reliability and minimize downtime.

• Monitor performance of fabrication machinery, automated bending equipment, cage welding systems, and production assets.

• Coordinate with maintenance teams and external vendors to ensure equipment readiness and operational efficiency.

• Support machinery upgrades and technology adoption initiatives.

Logistics & Delivery Coordination

• Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of fabricated steel reinforcement products.

• Optimize production and delivery schedules to support project timelines and customer requirements.

• Support ERP and digital tracking systems to enhance inventory visibility and operational planning.

• Ensure smooth coordination between production, warehouse, and transport operations.

Strategic Projects & Digital Transformation

• Lead ERP, MES, and digital transformation initiatives to modernize manufacturing operations.

• Support factory expansion, production line upgrades, and automation projects.

• Participate in budgeting, manpower planning, and capital expenditure proposals.

• Recommend productivity enhancement and process improvement initiatives to support business growth.

• Drive innovation through technology adoption and data-driven operational management.

Preferred Competencies & Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, steel reinforcement fabrication, construction materials, precast, or related industries.

• Proven experience managing production teams of 50–100+ workers.

• Strong understanding of steel reinforcement processing, fabrication operations, or construction-related manufacturing environments.

• Familiarity with ERP, MES, production planning, and factory automation systems.

• Knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and workplace safety requirements.

• Experience working within ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certified environments.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary: S$8,500 – S$12,000 per month

• AWS: 13th Month Bonus (subject to company policy)
