Operations Executive

We are supporting an international energy trading company in identifying an Operations Executive to support the execution of physical trading transactions across regional and international markets.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end trade and shipping operations from contract execution to cargo completion.
• Coordinate cargo movements, vessel schedules, and operational activities.
• Liaise with counterparties, terminals, agents, surveyors, brokers, and service providers.
• Prepare and manage operational, shipping, and trade finance documentation.
• Monitor inventory movements and maintain accurate operational records.
• Support demurrage and claims management activities.
• Update and maintain trading and operations systems.
• Work closely with trading, shipping, risk, and finance teams to ensure smooth transaction execution.

Requirements

• Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in commodities, energy trading, shipping, or trade operations.
• Familiarity with physical cargo operations and shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of trade finance documentation, including Letters of Credit, would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
