Deputy Laboratory & Technical Director

Requirements

• PhD in Biomedical/ Biotechnology or any other life sciences.
• Experience and strong technical knowledge in stem cells, or genetics/molecular diagnostics.
• Project management experience.
• Laboratory and team management experience is preferable.
• Experience working in a commercial / hospital laboratory and/or an AABB-accredited laboratory advantageous.
• Must be Hepatitis B immunized.

Description

• Provide directions and advice to Management, Lab Managers on all technical and lab operational aspects.
• Lead technical and/or laboratory operational developments for the validation and integration of new products, services and processes.
• Implementation of new products and initiatives for the company as directed.
• Scouting and assessments of potential new products, services, technologies and processes for the company.
• Evaluate processing data, ensure product safety, efficacy and endpoints met.
• Ensure daily aspects of laboratory processes are performed in accordance with SOPs and quality standards met.
• Responsible for lab operations budget planning, and implementation.
• standards and local authority regulations.

• Provide training and development, continuing education including speaking engagements.
• Oversee cord blood unit or other tissues releases.
• Interface with Doctors & clients when required.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager and Management.
