Commercial Director, APAC (SaaS FinTech)

About the Company

Hiring for a fast-growing global technology company delivering SaaS solutions to financial institutions, fintechs, payment providers, and regulated businesses across APAC. The platform helps organizations accelerate digital transformation, improve operational efficiency, and navigate an increasingly complex regulatory and commercial landscape.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead strategic revenue growth initiatives and strengthen relationships with enterprise clients and partners across the region.

The Opportunity

As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, expanding key client relationships, and developing go-to-market strategies across APAC. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success to accelerate growth and deliver long-term commercial value.

This role is ideal for an experienced enterprise sales leader with a strong track record of selling SaaS, fintech, payments, banking technology, regtech, or digital transformation solutions into large corporate and financial services clients.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Develop and execute regional commercial strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new enterprise business opportunities across APAC.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities across key markets.
  • Drive the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and deal closure.

Enterprise Client Engagement

  • Establish and maintain relationships with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.
  • Understand client business challenges and position technology solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Lead complex commercial discussions, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the sales process.

Strategic Partnerships

  • Develop and expand relationships with strategic partners, industry stakeholders, and ecosystem participants.
  • Identify partnership opportunities that support revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Collaborate with channel and alliance partners to generate new business opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations teams to ensure successful client outcomes.
  • Provide market feedback and customer insights to support product development and commercial strategy.
  • Contribute to forecasting, pipeline management, and business planning activities.

Market Leadership

  • Monitor market trends, competitive developments, and emerging opportunities within fintech and SaaS.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events.
  • Act as a brand ambassador within the financial services and technology ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets within SaaS, fintech, payments, regtech, banking technology, or enterprise software environments.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
  • Strong network across financial institutions, fintech companies, digital banks, payment providers, or large enterprises.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close high-value commercial agreements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling into banks, financial institutions, payment companies, or regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based software, digital transformation initiatives, and emerging financial technologies.
  • Exposure to international or regional APAC markets.
  • Experience working within high-growth technology or venture-backed environments.
