Quality Control (QC) Specialist – Slaughterhouse Production

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Personnel to join our team in the poultry industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure product quality, cleanliness, and hygiene standards
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks during poultry processing operations
  • Perform physical inspections on live birds upon arrival and processed products for defects, bruising, disease, or remaining feathers
  • Carry out routine temperature monitoring of chilling tanks, freezer rooms, and product core temperatures to ensure food safety compliance
  • Maintain accurate QC records, documentation, and inspection reports
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, SOPs, and company quality standards
  • Identify, report, and follow up on quality issues or non-conformance cases
  • Work closely with production and operations teams to improve product quality
  • Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices are followed at all times
  • Support internal audits and other ad-hoc duties assigned by management

Requirements

  • Experience in QA/QC or food manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP practices
  • Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a cold room / processing environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow procedures carefully

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, SFA requirements)
  • Experience in poultry or meat processing industry will be an advantage
